Did you have any issue when your tank goes below half a tank level???
Racetronix warned me that there will be no fuel available for Aeromotive 340 when the tank level goes below half a tank beacuse of lack of jet pump function in Aeromotive 340 fuel pump.

Okay, I've been doing some research. These are all taken out of various areomotive 340 threads.
Go to the parts store and order 1' of gates submersible efi fuel line. It comes pre-packaged, and should be 20-25 bucks. Also pick up 2 fuel line hose clamps for it. (He said in another post to get the kind of hose clamp that doesn't cut into fuel lines. I don't know what that means though.)
Here's the info from Racetronix's website.
This kit has all the parts required to upgrade the factory wiring on GM factory vehicles equipped with the older-style 4-position 150-series fuel module connector to the new-style GT-series connector system. The older-style 150-series connectors are known to fail over time so GM/Delphi has switched all new-production modules to incorporate the GT-series connector system which has twice the current capacity. This fuel pump wiring kit is a must when upgrading to new high-performance pumps which draw 2-3 times more power than a factory pump.
This fuel pump wiring kit contains the following items:
Racetronix Fuel Pump Upgrade Harness FPWH-017 - Provides a heavy-duty power source for high-performance pumps (up to 30 amps). This harness adapts the older 150-series connector to the new 280-series connector without the need for external adapters or splicing.
Fuel Module Electrical Bulkhead Connector Kit RCS-028 - Direct-fit 30-Amp rated connector replaces factory 14-amp unit.
In-tank Teflon wiring harness ITWH-023 - Direct hookup to the fuel pump's connector, NO SPLICING. Compatible with Walbro, DeatschWerks Aeromotive Stealth and other aftermarket fuel pumps. (Positive terminal on left when pump's outlet is held at 12 o'clock.)
* The in-tank harness included with this kit is set up to work with new production Aeromotive Stealth pumps which have a red inlet on the bottom only. Older Aeromotive Stealth pumps which have a white inlet require our FPWK-017A kit.
I went with a Aeromotive 340 with center inlet, worked PERFECTLY in my 04, didnt modify the bucket one bit and went in just like stock. Plus it flows more than a Walbro.
This is what comes with the 340. I dont know why they include such a short hose with the pump, so you do need to get a foot of submersible fuel line.

I started with the fuel pump last weekend, I used part # 11140 Aeromotive 340 that has the center inlet. Since the pump isn't as wide as the stock pump I had to slide the rubber sleeve (provided) over the top of the pump and then ziptied the sleeve so it wouldn't move. Then I just wedged the pump and sleeve down into the bucket and attached the new filter on the bottom and then slid everything into the bucket. You also have to solder on the new wiring into the previous connector that attaches at the top of the bucket.

Unfortunately the provided fuel line that comes with the Aeromotive pump is too short to connect to the fuel filter. So I made a trip to O'reilly's and got some longer line. Little did I know the guy behind the counter gave me non-submergible fuel line. Couple days later my truck dies running down the road, there was no pressure in the line so I knew that the line had come off. I ordered Gates part #27093 that is in fact submergible fuel line. Had to drop the tank again and reinstalled the new line and so far so good. Here's what the old line looked like versus the new Gates on the left:

No prob man. I don't deserve much credit. I didn't write it, I just collected it.
One thing I couldn't find though... Does this fuel pump require you to have to keep the fuel tank at least 1/2 full? Because, that would really suck.

So I ended up ordering the Aeromotive 340.
First off, it does appear that there is a check valve.
I need to order a wiring kit for my fuel pump now and I'm a but confused.
It says in the small print on the racetronix website that there are 2 versions of the pumps, one white, one red. Now, I assume that any pump ordered today will be red. Where I'm confused is on which kit folks are ordering.
It says on the bottom of this page what kit to order if you have a red or white pump.

Then there's this kit.
http://www.racetronix.biz/customkiti...FPWK-017WX&eq=
It goes as far to mention that it's longer for GM Truck/SUV applications.
What kit are folks using? The second one is roughly 10.00 more. It seems like if the only difference is wire length, one could easily solder in longer wires.
I emailed racetronix twice and haven't heard back from them. I'll be running this in a 2000 Silverado.
