Default 99-03 Dual Fuel Pumps for 800 rwhp

My fuel system consist of a Magnafuel 9950 regulator, -6 lines up front to rails and regulator. I am going to run factory fuel lines to the reg and lines until I figure out the pumps. But it will be a -8 feed and -6 return. I have ID850's, but will need to change them out once I get past 10-12 psi.

I am looking for input on the ideal dual intank set up to take me up to 800 rwhp on E85.

The truck is a 2000, so it has the smaller fuel bucket. I think twin 450's are out of the questions without completely hacking the bucket. My concerns are fuel starvation under hard launches and at low fuel levels (1/4) tank. Thoughts?

It seems that the best option may be to look for an 04-up fuel tank and fuel bucket assembly and use that to install twin 450's into. Will I have fuel starvation under hard launches and at low fuel levels (1/4) tank with the 04 and up bucket and tank?

Another option (most expensive) is the Lonnie's twin pump set up.

I am open to other ideas not mentioned.

loonies setup is $$$ for the same thing you can do DIY essentially.

800 rwhp on E requires a big fuel system no getting around it. My single 450 was maxed around 600. I'm currently installing dual 450s and yes the bucket will be hacked but it is what it is. On my factory module the pump sock was outside the bucket meaning it always pulled fuel from the tank not the bucket. So not having the bucket won't make a lick of difference. Again, if you plan to go WOT with less than 1/4 tank that's just not smart, no matter what year tank or bucket you have. The way I see it the only advantage to going to the 04 up tank is the bigger opening so a third 450 could be fitted. The module still sits in the mid to frontal portion of the tank which is obviously suboptimal. Sumped cell is really the ideal way to go.

Swap to the 04-06 tank and bucket use dual 450s. Use my spreadsheet stickied in this section to figure out if you have enough injector and pump.

If you are on E and decide to launch hard you will probably have starvation issues. To fix this, fill up sooner or build a sumped fuel cell.

Will dual 450's fit in a 99-03 bucket?

Thanks for the info, and yes I have read your post and downloaded spreadsheet. Do you know if the extended cab and regular cab tanks are the same?

They are. Only the long bed tanks are different.

Dual 450s will "fit" in there but there will be almost no volume left for fuel.

Yea you would have to hack the bucket up enough for it not to be a bucket anymore. It would just be a pump holder.

Don't hack the **** out of your small bucket. Swap to the newer tank with the larger bucket.

Are there smaller pump alternatives to allow for more fuel in the bucket?

The 450 is very small, seems like smaller than the stock pump. Easy answer to your question is no. My opinion is if you need dual pumps you should upgrade to the larger tank/bucket. Or do a surge tank...

I already have the 04 and up bucket assembly and I found a tank on CL. I was referring to fitting two 450's in the 04 and up bucket. That should be doable, right?

At what fuel level do you have fuel starvation issues?
