Default 450 in an 01 bucket?

I'm sure this has been asked many times, but I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere.
Looking to finally do the single 450 swap in an 01 bucket but I really want to be able to pickup from the outside of the bucket without hacking the bucket up too much, or not at all. I'm sure someone has done this, just looking for advise or any pics would really help. Also what FPR would you guys recommend for my boosted setup.
Thanks.

The OEM 99-03 canister uses a funky dual inlet Venturi pump. You'll need to cut the bottom of the canister off and keep the tank at least 1/4 full. The 04+ buckets are way better... You could swap the whole tank for an 04-07c tank. I believe this is what atomic did.

Yeah that's what I was finding also, I didn't really want to hack up the bucket too much but if that's the only way I guess I don't have any other options. I'm not really looking forward to always having at least 1/2 a tank of gas. I know it sounds stupid but I only drive the truck every couple of weeks or less so I usually drive between 1/2 and 1/8 tank of gas.
Thanks man.

The 450 pump dropped right into my bucket, there are two little fittings you can remove on the bottom that allow fuel into the bucket from the bottom.

450 will fit in the 01 bucket with very minimal mods.

I have 2 450s in my 00 bucket

Yes but the venturi function is disabled... so it is possible to starve the pumps when the tank gets close to empty.

And? I never ran it less than 1/2 tank and always ran at the track with more then 3/4 tank.

Just posting up all pertinent information to allow the OP to make the most informed decision possible. He specifically stated he would rather not hack up his bucket. There is also the Walbro drop-in module which has a 255LPH, if he doesn't want to hack up his bucket he could get the Walbro 255 bucket, and replace the 255 with a Walbro 340, and run a Kenne Bell BAP, thereby retaining venturi functionality. If he's cool with hacking the bucket and keeping 1/2 tank at all times, then by all means a single or double Walbro 450 needs no second thought.

If the OP plans to use E85 and do some street driving, then keeping the tank 1/2 full could be a hindrance to streetability. Or if it's his DD and he would like the ability to use the tank as it was OEM designed and run down to near empty, but then run whatever race comes alongside him when he is low on fuel...

And? Just helps to have as much information as possible in order to make an informed decision.
