#1
Has any one put one of these on there 4.6l 04 f-150? Here's my story so far.. i put the kit on drove home seemed normal.. so I drove my Car till i had to go to NC .... well didnt seem there was a problem then after driving almost to winston-salem she started to CHUG like she was starving for air or fuel.. didnt think much about it .. so i call Volant they told me what to check ect.. then to reset the computer .. so i did .. seemed fine till i stated her and left hit the freeway and there it was again.. wooMP WOOmp i left off on the pedal a little and she smoths out and goes on.. so well i thought maybe i didnt leave the battery disconcted long enough.. so that night left it off.. jump in the truck to go home to TN .. 6 hours thought mt's and as soon as i had to push her to a certin point in the trottle she would start chugin again.. i got to a point on the mountains that she would just pop ans spit and go like 20mph but i was stuck with 21miles to go .. i put her in netural and she would smooth out and i would let the rpms drop to normal put her in gear and go a 1/4 mile or so till i made it to the top and she coasted into a station .. i ask the MECHANIC and he said water in the fuel so i bouth the stp gas and put in it .. not knowing it didnt help but after the stop i could run 80ish .. and then it would get bad.. i would stop for 5 mins and she would run again .. once off the mt's she ran fine but could not pass because hit that spot and no power just the chugin thing ? any body had this .. i'm taking it to ford when i get back from TX .. Any one know?

Hmm....I'm not sure about the water in the fuel but...I would bet there is a leak at a connection on the intake pipe AFTER the mass air meter. You problems sound like there is unmetered air going into the engine which would wigg out the computer. Check ALL your connections on the cold-air intake including the hoses going into it.

you are going to have that problem with the 04's. i had that problem with mine with the cel. it is a lean condition that has caused it. a tune can help it or get the pcm reflashed. it will also have a vibration when accelerating as well.
