I am going to get either a K&N or aFe Stage 1 air intake. Which will offer better improvements? I will get one or the other, so don't try to convince me otherwise... The K&N is the whole intake while the aFe Stage 1 is just the box and filter. What intake would be best for the V10?

 

I'd go with the K&N, only because it has a plastic intake pipe, which is what will actually benefit you. When it comes to intakes, it's all in the design of the tube and the filter.

I don't know anything about the V10's though, so the stock intake might be adequate.

 

I agree with Koots, the plastic tubing absorbs less heat, therby givng cooler air....or just build ur own out of PVC

 

Any update? I'm curious which one did you get and if you noticed any improvement.

 

Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I still have not gotten it yet, but soon--- very soon! I've been crazy busy! The good news is that I did get it straight piped and so far, I love it! Growls at low RPMs and is quiet at highway speeds (65+)!! I am also getting a SCT X3 tuner from 5 Star Tuning.
