2001 5.4 build
Hi all, new to the forms I have a 2001 super crew 4x4 5.4 triton with 35in tires. I'm looking at modding the truck. I'm not to sure what the rear end gearing is tho. I'm looking at getting a tune, headers, new exhaust, and a torque converter. Once I do that I may try and get a set of trick flow heads and a cam with all this I'm not sure what brands, and what sizes. I have a friend that can help me do all the work I just need to find the right parts, any help will be great

Im going to be helping him find some parts. Wont have access to a computer for a few weeks so my searches are limited. What would be a good set of headers for his truck? Also does blackbear do mail order tunes for them? I told him to look at some tricl floe heads not sure what ones tho? Also what would be a good cam for low/mid range? Ill prob have him get a 2800ish stall so he can still tow and use the truck as a tru

270 comp cams. I think they are some of the best 2v cams. But if I were you 4v. I switch to a 4v and now that's all I will ever do. My 4v with long tubes made 321/320. Bone stock. And one 4v flows better than ported 2v heads for me it's 4v or nothing. It's just cheaper to a 4v than to port a set of 2v heads get cams long tubes. No joke I spent ALOT OF MONEY ON A DAMN 2v and got no where. 4v I'm putting a set of comp 106100s and will probably make 350+ 4v are expensive but in the ford world the only way.
For a converter a 3000 stall. I use to spin my 2v to 6500 ALL DAY.
