Default For you Radix guys...

My dad is looking for a FI setup on his 2006 Avalanche and told me to do the research for him. I have basically narrowed it down to the Radix for many reasons. His truck is mainly being used for everyday highway driving (he puts a whole lotta miles on his vehicles) and also is taken out into the woods on occasion for hunting. He also wanted something that would be very easy to install in the driveway with no welding/fabbing to do. And huge boost #s aren't that important to him, just a good increase in SOTP horsepower.

My question is, with the Radix kit, what other modifications are COMPLETELY necessary to have the setup run correctly? Will he HAVE to get full exhaust? Gutting/removing cats will not happen due to being in an emissions area. Also, will the PCM need to be tuned? Intakes, plugs, wires, etc.

Thanks for your help.

There is no need to do anything other than bolt the supercharger system on and drive it

The other things you mention will "enhance" the performance but are not needed to realize the advertised gains of the Radix Supercharger system. The only thing I would suggest is some tranny work, minimun vette servo.....however a complete shift kit would ensure longer trans life. You should remember that ANY power adder is going to take its toll on the driveline.

Im sure the Radix has to be the most complete S/C setup out there The only thing I can think of that it does'nt come with is the anti freeze for the heat exchanger and the install is fairly easy aswell good luck I hope you're father enjoys his as much as I have nine.

This is just a little reccomendation from my experience. Get high flow converters...I lunched my engine, and 4 pistons on my new one because I didn't realize one of my cats (pass side) was clogged. I was told stock cats are only good to 450hp or so anyway. With a radix you'll be close. Really the best bet would be a set of dynatech headers with hi flow converters...you get it all for 1200. That is gonna be my next move once my wallet recovers.

I would suggest, in addition to the Radix, that you get a tranny cooler 24000 btu minimum), a 1-2 servo, and a shift kit. These should help your tranny live longer with the added power.

the tranny cooler and shift kit and servos are really a good idea for longevity.
You can't beat the radix for all the conditions you list!
