I found some seamless stainless elbows at work. Only thing is that they are 1 1/2 " outside diameter. Exhaust flanges I think are 1 3/4? Do they make a 1 5/8" one? Will this choke exhaust to much if used for a log style turbo manifold? Free so I want to see if I can use them?

 

What size engine and what are the goals?
I think it would work with stock displacement/heads. The elbows are relatively inexpensive if you need larger ones, it might be worth getting the biggers ones now just so that you are sure they are big enough.

Do you know the ID on the runners on a stock manifold? If they are 1 3/8" or smaller I would use the 1 1/2" elbows, F-body cars with truck manifold turbo systems are making 700 HP.

 

5.3 right now but when she dies I have a 6.0 waiting. 450 hp will make me happy 2wd pain in the *** to drive with more I would think. Once my daughter was born had to stop the wasteing money deal so going for low boost BUDGEt turbo build. Wifey cant see the $50 a week stash...

 

dont the heads have a 1 5/8" hole in them? it would be best to match that size.
