Default Witch TB with a 5.3 and a Maggie

Well the 5.3 I have to put in my truck is a Fly by Wire type and my truck is a cable type. So now I have to get a new Throttle Body witch would be the best. Stock 5.3 Maggie and long tube headers. Got to get one may as well get the best for the job.

You can use your cable actuated throttle body for your combination, no problems. Your existing electronics (PCM/TCM/BCM) are all designed for it, and the engine doesn't give a damn which throttle body is on it Cable or DBW.

If the J-Tube on the Maggie you picked up has been modified for a 90MM throttle body, you could buy a cable actuated 90MM. Other than that, I'd leave it alone and install your stock 78MM cable actuated TB.

Thanks a lot. So the stock 4.8 throttle body is fine on the 5.3

Got started today. Got to work on it for around two hours.Finding all the plugs and unplugging them and pulled the exhaust. Just taking my time and trying not to tear anything up. Hope to pull it all by the weekend.
