How and where did you ground it?

 

i first tap into the other two gauges, boost and pyrometer, but after calling auto meter i only hook it up to one gauge still same thing then again to the battery same thing do you have one how do you have it set up.

 

Is the circuit you built for the wideband fuse protected? If not, and you previously mis-wired it, you may have smoked the gauge. I don't know though. It's really not that hard to wire up. Switched 12V power with an inline fuse, and a rock-solid ground. The other 2 wires are outputs for datalogging, etc. If they are not used, they need to be trimmed back and protected somehow so they will not short to ground.

 

yeah i did that already i have two red wires and one black the rest are for datalogging is there a possible way that if there touching it cause it to shut off the datalogging wires?

 

Is it possible that your supply is switched to turn off when the engine is cranking? I would run wires directly to the battery to make sure you have a good supply. After it is working, I would then move the wires to where you want them. I have also seen a wideband not work because the fuse was too small (it never blew the fuse, it would just not allow the proper supply). The wideband needs a very good signal to work. Make sure you run the specified fuse that the directions call for.
