if all you want to do is roast your tires get the whip , if you want good times and have a fast street racing truck get the pro.

I really want an alright setup so my truck can defend itself somewhat. Its my only truck and dailydriver. I would like a setup that when I step on it it responds good either stopped or driving. Not planning on upgrading internals on my engine and its over 100k already. Just staying with the boltons that I have and I'm riding 20 inch wheels oh and I live in south texas where its hot every day I have the whipple with me but haven't installed it, but since I got a bad *** deal on a procharger that's why I was curious about it and what would be better for me. I'll be going with a tune and 8.1 marine injectors, and fuel pump with either kit installed. So what do you think would be better?

if you're looking for someone to tell you what to do, here ya go:

save your money, keep the whipple, & enjoy. you said you want extra power whenever you hit the gas at whatever RPM. this will give that to you (and that will help overcome the power lost due to the 20s from a stop as well). considering you're in TX, i'd look into getting an intercooler.

you've already said it's a high-mileage DD truck, so i don't expect that you're gonna be constantly running 3500+ RPM, so that's why i'm recommending keeping the twin screw

Ill give you some piece of mind and list how my Whipple ran well before I dreamed of modding it.Pretty much in your shoes so to speak. Now there is gonna be plenty of people on here that will bash or be Debby downer bout'em.Hey thats fine they probably had a bad experience or read/heard anothers problems or disappointments in the kit.I know with a lil fab work this mother ****** can straight up get it on.Think about it this is the SAME compressor that alot of Mustang guys use to squeeze 550-750rwhp out. What ever on that though ill share my initial experience.Started out with a small cam,headers,4.8l,rear gears 4.10's,ecsb over 100000 mi.,5000 with me being 250-260#.No blower truck ran mid 14's at 94-96mph.No dyno for that set up.Ok,added the Whipple blower dynoed that week 432rwhp on 9.5#'s of boost at 6200rpm.Same setup at the track went 13.4 at 104 2.3 60ft spining through.Really not bad IMO but,hey to each his own.
I dont have time to explain how it has ran since the Intercoolers been added, modified the inlet, and raised the boost.I will say the kill list has grown considerably since those mods.Including a tranny, rearend, and a blown set of headgaskets <---- which would have not happened if I had learned some tunning skillz a little earlier.Deffinately give it a shot.
