Many of the newer supercharger kits on the market either come with everything you need including a tuner or come with everything but a tune. Your 2010 should have the 6 speed trans which hold up pretty well to moderate boost levels. The trans tuning seems to be very important to them holding up so I recommend a custom tune from a reputable tuner.

Don't they change the trans tune as well on Whipple's canned tune? Thought I read that somewhere.

Very possible. Don't know the answer to that. I know my brothers Maggie tune is very conservative. I guess because Magnusin offers a power train warranty with there's.

Torque convertor and headers at a minimum. And like stated already the trans tune must be exactly spot on.

You may be out of luck with that one.

Headers will certainly help, but they aren't necessary. Make sure the kit comes with fuel upgrades as well as some sort of tune. From there it's all about how far you want to push it.

Headers, cam, pullies, 8 rib pullies, ported blower inlet, larger throttle body, large diameter intake tube, methanol injection... Those are a few supporting mods as you aim to make more and more power. Typically a brand new kot comes complete enough to bolt on decent power gains.

WHIPPLE SC TUNER KIT 2.3L, INTERCOOLED, 7-8PSI, BLACK - 07-12 5.3L GM FULL SIZE | STILLEN
I believe New Era Performance has a better price. Check his build on a '13 a couple years ago with the 2.3 Whipple.
