At first glance there appears to be plenty of room, however when I put the volant in place and then added the MAF in there isnt much room to get to the TB. The angle of the dangle just isnt right, it wont line up using any comination of couplers etc. that I have. I might have to get a 4" silcone 90 to make it work. I am going to be removing the MAF here soon but for the time being I am going to leave it in. I am thinking I may move the MAF closer to the TB, I am not real crazy about it being right after that 75 degree elbow that is there now.

03sierraslt,
I would think it would be easier to make a volant fit your set-up with the drive by wire TB because you can get adjustment in two planes with mine the center-center distance from TB to MAF had to be spot-on to make it work. Also if Volant changed the design of the Inlet adapter I bet you can call them and buy just that to adapt to your old box.
laynlow77,
I wish I took some pictures when I installed the box but I didn't and it is such a pain in the @ss to get in & out I will only disassemble it if I have to. But I can give you what I did to make it fit. First, using a drimmel tool, I cut just enough off of the inlet tube to the volant to get the MAF perpindicular to the ground instead of slanting toward the ground. Then I had to sand down the outside the the inlet tube to get the od smaller. Now the rubber sleeve off of the MAF would fit but the MAF wouldn't fit snug into the rubber sleeve so I took as small piece of rubber about 1/8" thk. X 1/2" wide & used it to tighten up the gap between the MAF & the rubber sleeve. Finally I slotted the base mounting holes in the volant box to give me some wiggle room.
