Yes you will need to relocate your IAT sensor so that it reads the actual temp. of the air entering the intake rather then the temp of the air before the blower. I dont know why whipple does not relocate there sensor, Kenne Bell does. The IAT sensors are fairly cheap like 20-30 bux I believe.

If you are running non intercooled then you want the IAT between the blower and the intake manifold, if you are intercooled you want the IAT between the intake manifold and the intercooler. You want to get a accurate reading of what the actual air temp is that is making it into the engine.

Didn't the turck come with a IAT in the MAF if so how did you make that happen. Was that a kit you use to install a different one?

My Kenne Bell came with the IAT sensor that I have in my picture, All I did was relocate it from the Kenne bell elbow to the new flange that I made. Stock the IAT sensor is in the MAF however all you have to do is splice the two wires going to the maf for the IAT sensor onto the new sensor... To the best of my knowledge if you have a whipple then you will need a IAT sensor.

i c now. sorry for the confusion, i didn't realized that you had to splice into the maf sensor to relocate it. does this mean it will get two readings?

No, your readings will come from the one in the intake flange. I should have worded that differently sorry, basically you cut the wires to the stock one and hook them up to the aftermarket one with a wire extention( basically just lenghten the wires)

The MAF will still measure the air (using the other wires still connected at the MAF), the temp will be derived from the new IAT sensor that is relocated to the intake flange. You will cut two of the 4 or 5 wires that are in your MAF harness, then extend those 2 wires to the new location of the IAT sensor. The 2 cut off ends that are left at the MAF will be capped off. Leave a few inches there incase ou ever want to return to stock.
