Default Whipple help!

So my dad put a whipple on his 02 1500 about 8 years ago, traded off the truck to buy a dirtmax and I just happen to run into the guy hat bought his 02 8 years ago. It was an old farmer that only used that truck for sunday church. I asked how he liked all that power and he said he hates it. He might agree to let me take it off and turn his truck back to stock! First of all will this charger fit on my 04 6.0 2500hd? I know I would have to do something with the thottle body but would it be that hard? And is it worth taking it off his truck and trying to put it back to stock? Any help is great guys!

The blower itself will fit, but you will need some different elbows where the throttle body mounts. The 02 truck is a cable throttlebody where as your 04 is drive by wire. Both trucks will need tuned. That would be a non intercooled whipple, without any type of cooling (intercooler or Meth) there is not a large power gain due to the heat the blower creates.

You should contact whipple to find out if they still support that setup, you will need the different elbows and most likely a different blower pulley.

Okay since the old 02 just had there wiring harness that is all spliced in I shouldn't have to have that one tuned should I? And yeah whipple doesn't even sell that one anymore. Or it's atleast on there website. For the old truck after I take everything off all I should need is the old intake right? I'm just trying to decide if it's worth the work to switch everything over vs the power gains

If everything is there then making some elbows won't be tough. Heat is a major issue with these, but good power can be made with these. 75hp wouldn't be tough to achieve and at only the cost of labor and a tune that's not a bad deal. You might consider building an innercooler setup with one of the cheap eBay universal kits. I bet you can make it work nice for you if you keep your expectations in check.

As far as I can see whipple doesn't produce anything for these kits anymore. Will this be a problem with the elbows, or can I custom make thoes? And how does the belt work, is there another pulley bolted on the accessory drive or is the belt itself just longer? And I know it comes with a small and a larger pulley for the different boost levels

I don't see why you couldn't build your own elbows using aluminum tubing and silicon couplers.
