How can I check my compressor? Theres no play in the pully when I turn it, so thats good I guess? Also just looking down the road here. What does a rebuild of one of these cost?

Well I just got off the phone with Jeff at Whipple. The charger that was supposed to have 3k miles on it looks to be 3 to 4 years old and maybee not more then a big paper weight deppending on the condion of the rotors. I will be taking the manifold off tonight to get a better look. I'll post up some pics later. So far its not looking good, I may be taking a bite of this $hit sandwich!!!

To run that with a drive by wire throttle body like yours you need 90 degree elbow from whipple. Otherwise you will have to smash in the firewall some to make room for the TB.

I wouldn't count it out just yet. If it were me, I'd go ahead and install it. See how it runs then decide how your sandwich tastes.

If there is one thing we know, its that Whipple LOVES to take your money. I don't know how often I've seen someone buy a kit, then pay whipple $800 to reflash their whipple electronics. What a waste. Injectors and a PCM tune would be much better and cheaper.

I had a 1.6L Whipple on the Tahoe from 2000 to 2006. From then until last month I had a 2.3L compressor with plumbing customization. That changed last month, however, and at the moment no Whipple is installed. Here's one of the last pictures of it I have:
