1070ish HP.

That was on a solid roller cam with .700 lift. On the street cam it actually made less power oddly enough.

That wasnt with the Phenolic spacer that the maggie desperately needs when pushed hard either. There is less gain there with the whipple. I'm confident the numbers on joes build would have been higher with that spacer in place.

IMO the 2.9 whipple isnt much more capable, if at all, than the jack shaft 2300 when all the right mods have been done to the maggie. That means port matched lower manifold (they come in a tear drop shape), inlet opened to 102mm, and OD rear cog pullies. That is a chunk of change there for all of those mods, where as the whipple comes ready to compete as is. Thats the main advantage.

I don't think you need that bracket, you can make one for $40-50 if you have access to a sawzall, grinder, drill, and tap/die set. The only negative side to this as that the hose is in the belt path.

I've had it set up like this for about a year, no belt slip or other issues.

The other option is convert to 2010 and up Camaro accessories.

I looked at the Maggie and for all the reasons you listed, went with the Whipple instead. I can tell you that the Whipple runs pretty cool, but it a little lazy getting boost. Some of that is due to the Maggie being pullied down pretty hard and me running a 3.875 pulley on the Whipple.

I ran a 11.75 with the Maggie 112 at 8 pounds, I would be disappointed with anything less than 10's at 15 psi with the Whipple.

I've been collecting parts to finish the fuel system and get it on the dyno. I'll share the numbers, good or bad.

Hard to play with two kids under two.

Do you have any pics of the mods done to the back of the alt bracket?

No, I didn't take any. Basically, about 3/4" of the brackets was ground out so it would sit flush against the block.
