APR regular studs have been good for me up to about @15 lbs. APR2000s good for more LOL! @23lbs L19's are a little stronger, but they are not intended for long term use because of there corosion properties. I used them without issues, but I didn't have them on but for a little over a year so. My recomendation is depending on what you are planning to do. 15lbs standard ARP's more I'd go for the ARP 2000 material and just about as strong as the L19's. As far as the gaskets I used them all the best are the MLS gaskets the 3layer ones were good the 5layers are supposed to be better, but can't confirm if they hold better or not yet only that GM designed them for the ZR1 put 25% stonger fasteners and heads made from better/ harder material on them so who knows. The bigger bore on your motor is not an issue to me, but your choice. GL!

Stock tty bolts here.
I am beginning to push water @12 psi.
I also need a retune and believe that would help.A good tune goes along way when you get in the ballpark of pushing water.
It is prolly to late for me but I will try some arp's to see if they help.I am sure my gaskets have took a pretty good beating by now.

inspector12. i looked at the gm 5 layer but everyone i talked to said not to use the 4.1" bore gasket on a 3.778" bore like we have. is there a huge price diff between the types of studs?
