Default what's a good blower cam ?

I have 06 rcsb with a 5.3L with a joe gibbs supercharger .
I'm doing a lq4 swap with that supercharger and want a good blower cam.

It's getting port and polish 243 heads and a 2.8 or a 3.0 pulley.

Not a daily driver.

thanks for your help guys.

Stage 1 LEP blower cam. Call Garth at LEP here in Vegas and he'll point you in the right direction.

The Vinci trucker cam is a popular option.

Bottom line is there are a lot of great cams... its all in what you want.

How high you you want to rev to shift? How do you want it to idle? How loose is your converter?

Sounds like its somewhat max effort... but I believe the Gibbs is a 112 blower which has its limitations. Too much cam and the blower won't move enough air.

I'd be inclined to go with something in the ball park of a 216/228 on a 115+3

All the above cams are great, I would just be nervous the LEP cam is too much for a 112, the trucker cam works phenominal in a 5.3 and a 6.0 with ported heads wouldnt hate a tad more cam, and the lingenfelter is awesome too, its just tame as hell. I'd wanna hear it!! lol

Yea it could be to much for the 112..? Anyone know the specs on the stage 1? I thought it was low 220's duration.

224/230 on a 116. he keeps his specs a giant secret... unsure about advance etc.

Oh then I would still consider running it. -5 degrees of overlap isn't out of hand. I'd be interested to see if the 112 would like the cam or not. I bet a few guys on TBSS sites have run it. I'll see if I can find any numbers.

Here is one on this site that I found. Made 470rwhp/475rwtq on 6-7psi and 32" tires. Seems nice but if it was mine, I'd want to run a smaller cam just for drivability reasons.

You will need the 2.8 pulley for sure to make power in a heads and cam 6.0 with a 112. It just doesn't push enough air. You will make plenty of power, but only about 6-7lbs of boost. Which isn't a bad thing its very efficient, but the 112 will be the next big upgrade for you.
