I know this is a newbie question....but im gonna ask it anyway..

Whats faster a turbo 4.8 rcsb or a 6.0 rcsb? For the longest time ive wanted one or the other and Im starting to put the funds together to do so. The setup would be a turbo 4.8 or a 6.0 with a nice cam, and I would like to run mid-low 12s.

 

They both have ups and downs.

With the 4.8 turbo, you have to worry about changing head gaskets alot if you run high boost, but at the same time you would have to do an extensive motor swap to a 6.0

What about tranny? Rear end?

 

I'll say the 4.8 turbo will be faster. I mean it's only a 6L w/ cam u are choosin between, right?

 

well kbracing96 pulled low 12's in an ecsb z71 with a turbo 4.8

 

A turbo 4.8 running 15lbs is equal to an 9.6L.....

Idk what cam somthing nice.. The trans would be semi built with a 2500-3000 stall( dont no which one would be best) and the rear would probley be 4.10s and a Detroit. Im leaning towards the 4.8 turbo but i dont no..i need some suggestions..
