what is the diff between the p1 and the d1 head units. i have a p1 and my buddy just got one with a bad bearin and impeller and is tellin me he can just up grade the impeller 2 a d1 and mill the p1 housin for the new impeller and it will b good 2 go. is this correct or is he miss lead by sum bad info. thanx

 

The impeller is the only difference if I remember correctly.

so he would b better off 2 get the d1 impeller rather then just replacing his p1 with a p1

 

Yeah go with the d1 if it will suit your setup. Also, aren't the impellers like $1200? And you have bad bearings too? After parts and labor might be better off with a different head unit. Then you could sell yours on ebay as "needs a few parts and its good to go"

 

idk how much they run. mine is good 2 go.lol the one my buddy picked up is smoked thou. i thing he told me sumthing like 300ish for the bearings and seals and another 3ish for the impeller. but that sound way cheap 2 me. and for the price he got it for i figured it had 2 be expensive 2 fix other wise the guy he got it from wouldnt have let it go for the price he did.but hell even if he has 2 get a new head unit he will b ahead. he gave 200 buks for a complete kit. 42lb injectors all the piping intercooler,bv,and all the b rackets. were am i when ppl give stuff away.lol
