Default Help Transmission Temp

What are you guys Tranmission temps with the stock cooler at opterating temps?? Mine has been climbing to 205* at the most even with it being 45 degrees outside , then goed back down to 185* -198* while driving .....

Its an 08 with the 4.8 thanks guys 4X4 if that makes a differece do i need to take it by the delearship?

Just buy a Tru Cool Max 40kGVW trans cooler and be done with it.

yeah just do that and it should help with the tranny temp.

That's a lot hotter than mine gets. Are you keeping it in 2wd, or is it in auto?

It comes with hose and fitting that you can use. You should have a factory Auxilary Cooler so your lines will be right there in the front.

as long as you dont climb over 210 you have nothing to worry about. but if you are worried about high temp do like the others said put a 40k in

My 08 with auxiliary cooler never gets above 150 in cool temperatures. Something seems up...what kind of driving are you doing? Towing or bed full of cargo?

Pulling 6000lbs from PA mine only hit 225*. Yours seems high to me. If you still have a warranty, go to the dealer, if not do the 40k. I will be the next time I need to tow long distance.

its in 2wd all the time, i dont pull anything ... Im taking it by the dealer tomorrow . It hit 220* today somethings going on for sure . bed hasnt had anything but water in it from the car wash !!!
