Default 4L80E vs. 4L85E and some ?s

Ok I gave up on the 6L80E due to the fact it has a TOTALLY different computer for controlling the shifts and is going to require some serious electrical know how and access to making your own computer software so now Im back to the good ole 4speed. What are the differeces between the two. I was reading that the maximum shaft speed of them is only 5200rpm so technically in 3rd if you were maxing out third which would be in the 140+ range you would scatter the transmission correct? Also what other "little" things can be done to beef up these trans besides the shift kit. Supposedly with just a shift kit they are good till 600hp. I will be pushing 800 at the crank close to 1000 ft-lb of torque on the big shot of nitrous. I dont want to have to pull it again. I will do the clutches and shift kit but I dont know what else can be done. I know alot about beefing up a 60/65e but nothing about a 80/85. If anybody can direct me to some good tech articles on the 85 it would be greatly appreciated. I have talked to a couple of trans builders but they want too much when I could just get my trans guy to rebuild it for me and put all good hard parts back in and save like 1K.

Thanks
