what would it take to get instant boost from a turbo 5.3 ala the BMW 335i?

mmmmm.. booost.

I had a deal lined up on an LQ4 for $600 but had to back out due to shifting issues.

haha nonnies truck is sweet with the two step. he can now get the wastegate and bov to work with the truck in park almost 6psi????? I'm pretty sure i need one of those!

imo the 335 falls off by 5000 rpm...with redline somewhere in the sixes. also they use direct fuel injection and a high pressure fuel pump, much like a diesel. not to sure how much it helps out on a gas engine though.

I think you are talking about Vishnu Performance. With their programming/CAI/exhaust upgrade for the 335i', their test car ran consistant 12.4's @113.

I've driven a stock twin turbo 335i. The boost is indeed instant. 300lbs of torque at 1400rpm from a 3.0l.

a little converter helps too.
I would guess a properly sized turbo and a 3000 stall you'll be in boost b4 the end of the 60'.
