Manifolds wrapped might actually help spool a mid mount faster then headers.

^Like Mangled said, manifolds wrapped would be better off. You want to keep the exhaust velocity as high as possible to get the turbo spooled quicker. I also would not go too large on the piping going into the turbo from the manifolds for the same reason.
