What turbo should I get?

If I had a better cam, I think I'd be really close to 600rwhp with the stock bottom end, but I don't think you will see 700rwhp unless you used a 75 shot of NOS. I don't know how long it would last ether. I hit 551hp 647tq at 16-17psi. If I turned it up to 20psi or up'd the timing, I would go over 600hp or it will blow up. I think I am at risk of leaning out the #7 piston, I don't think it will last very long either. You would be in better shape with some forged pistons. I also vote for the 70 turbo on the 5.3 for that hp range, I would have more info for you if I could just get on the dyno. I had my truck at synergy for two weeks and have been waiting for two months to get on the dyno and tune. I am thinking of just going with the mail order tunes, this is taking way too long. I want to know what my IAT's are at 16-17 psi.

Bore and stroke it. I'm not sure the upper limit on a 5.3 -- 383? or is a 347 the max?

. The best way to find out what it costs (to do it right) is to find some people in your area that have had this work done & can reccomend a good machine shop.
This link from strokerkits.com has some prices for various machine work.

Regarding turbo sizing, does anyone here have experience with a single intercooled turbo on a 5.3, say around 8-10 PSI? I have the How to build LS1/LS6 book & still can't believe the numbers on the Wheel to Wheel 4.8 motor.
My turbo calc program is a little out of date, so I'm looking for advice on a good size unit for a single turbo setup- depending on room in the engine bay of my Supra. I may end up with two small bottom mounts if they will fit better.

By the time you have all the machine work done, it would not be that much more to have bought a 6.0 block & swap your accessories, etc. over since you will be replacing the rotating assembly. You can then sell your longblock 5.3 motor on here to someone like me
