I'm not sure yet -- long story short, I went to the dyno but set spark plug wires on fire and had to lift at 5300rpm. I switched to midlength headers and changed the computer and a week before my dyno appointment got hit by a road raging ricer which put the truck in the shop for 4-5 months or something ridiculous. In other words, I'm still not sure how the 70 will act up high. My back up plans are either a 76 or a GT42-82.

With a rear mount the 42 spooled up at 4800rpms or something like that on 6.0L cubes (one of the SSS prototypers ran it for a week or so), but MNC5 has better spooling with his 408. My goal when sizing a turbo on a rear mount is finding one that will flow enough air at a reasonable IAT while still spooling up before/at 4k. I think the 76 should spool for me by 3600-3800.

I was told that they could open my 60-1 up and change it into a 76 because the housing is the same. Does that sound right to you guys?

I got a question for you guys too. On a 5.3, which STS turbo would make 600-700 rwhp? I was thinking maybe the GT76 but it seems a little too big.

Unless you build the engine I don't think any turbo will give the stock block 600-700rwhp.

600-700 definitely requires a motor build for the hemi and I'm pretty sure it does the same for the others. On that note I wonder if I should consider a larger turbo. The T61 on mine was originally chosen when there was no bottom end work going on. Well that isnt the case now- you guys think I should look at a larger turbo, T-76? or maybe just buy another T61 and have twins j/k

Im planning on building everything. I want my truck to last since it's gonna be my daily driver. So does anyone know what size? Maybe a GT70?

Probably. You will either need high boost (~20psi) or more cubes.

I'd think you could get some benefit from stepping up -- a GT70 would probably be around perfect.
