We need some info before anyone can make a suggestion. So I would say go with 2- s85 turbos. One is fun, so two must be really, really fun

Alright. Engine is in sig. Probably goin to do forged internals after I get the turbos on. 224/224 will probably come out and replaced with a custom grind turbo cam. I want turbos that don't have alot of lag. What would ya'll think about GT60-1's? Truck doesn't see ALOT of the street, but then again, if I want to take it on a trip, I don't want to be fighting drivability.

How much money are you looking to spend??? I would go with some Turbonetics T-61 units. You can get a small housing to help with spooling and they are rated at 680hp each.

Well I'll have about $4k to spend. I am fixin to have the kit, so that won't be included in the $4k. Just the turbos, and MAYBE the shortblock will be. The kit has everything but the turbos. I'm hopin to get the turbos and my shortblock built. How much are the turbonetics your talkin about?

Who are you getting the kit from? AFAIK STS is the only remote mount company and they don't make a twin kit for the trucks ( yet... ). STS has twins that are sized correctly for twins (60-1s is what I'd think the 5.7 would like -- from the standard c5 twin kit). I'm using a variant of those that were speced for the 427 Z06 -- 'stage III' T60-1s.

The turbos will likely eat up that $4k at least.

The kit is a custom made kit. I bought it from a buddy of mine. The guy he bought it from did not send the turbos with the kit, and my buddy decided to go a diff. route. I'm thinkin I'll just go with the 61's. Does STS sell just the turbos?

I'm not sure. I know they do if you're upgrading an STS kit.

When I asked STS about twin turbo's they said if your staying under 1000hp a single works best and if your pushing past that then twin work better. Does that sound right more or less to you guys? What other pros and cons are there to twins and a single?
