What size turbo?
#1
Searched around and couldn't find much specific.
Basically, I want to build a custom (budget) rear-mount turbo system. I'm kinda scratching my head over what size turbo I actually need, though. I'm shooting for 500rwhp (or whatever can be reasonably attained) with the capability to increase in the future. Given my mods in my sig, what size would ya'll recommend?
I've got my eyes on an eBay turbo with these specs (the nearest I could guesstimate:
Compressor Size: Inlet = 4 3/16", Inducer = 68.7MM, Exducer = 97.8 MM, Trim = 69,A/R = 0.66, Intake (ID / OD) = 2.25" / 3.25"
Turbine: Outlet = 4", Turbo flange = T4, Downpipe flange = 3.5" V-band, Inducer = 87.4 MM, Exducer = 77 MM,Trim = 92, A/R = 1.05
Mounting plans are either for A) spare tire well or B) where the muffler is currently. I'm leaning toward the spare tire area by the rear bumper (7' from the y-pipe flange) since there is a lot more room to work with.
Also, here is my most current dynorun:

4" intercooler, 38mm Tial wastegate, 50mm Emusa BOV, KB-style hot side (might even be KBracing) and the Chinese turbo. I tore the turbo down to check for any obvious flaws or machining errors, didn't find anything and overall the turbo is machined very well (fyi, it's also a twin scroll design. Unusual in cheap turbos?)

The hot side I've got is top-notch, the cold side I think I'm gonna buy from KB since it's guaranteed good. Probably will get a real turbo later on after I find the shortcomings of this one.
