Default What size motor is best with TWIN 60-1s

Hello all,

I've been snooping around for awhile now and decided to post a question to enlighten myself a little. My situation is that I have two turbonetics 60-1's with an A/R of .58 sitting on a shelf in my basement along with various other parts to start a build. I am going to start the project here soon and want to know which motor would be best to use with these turbo's. 4.8, 5.3 or 6.0..

All motors listed will be able to make the power that I would need. I won't be going higher than 10-12 psi. It's more for street meaning it'll be a two wheel drive truck. Mostly stock, maybe just a cam for boosted applications. Please fill me with the knowledge..haha. If there are any specific things I left out let me know.

Thanks
Rench

A Honda b18c engine responds well to the 60-1. Ive seen a few first hand make 500whp... As for a truck motor I would go bigger for sure

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I knew I was streching it with these motors especially the 6.0, but I had to ask. Looks like I may be selling some turbos. It sucks cause they are brand new ceramic coated too. Oh well. Maybe I'll get enough for them to get a nice pair of heads for a 6.0..

Thanks

If you use both on a 5.3 or 6.0 that would be pretty fun.

I would be using both not just one.. That's what I was wondering on my previous post if running twins with these turbos would be good with these size motors..It sure would save a little money and time if I could.

How do I change the title of the Thread? I just realized it meant to say twin 60-1's?

twin 60-1s? What kind of crazy person would run those

If you have them, run them. I run stage 3 60-1s (spec's here). They're good to ~15psi and will make stupid power with instant boost.

I have run these with a 408, and was going to run them on the 427. Now, they'll go back on the 408 eventually.
