alright right now im at 100% DC on my injectors at WOT 6400rpm.... i have a 2000 so im pretty sure that i only have 24# injectors right now. im lookin at some 30# or 42# injectors from MTI for an LS1 and i was just wondering who sells an injector larger than stock that will fit my truck? *note* i dont want to have to deal with any shimming or pigtails, lookin for a direct swap* i know i dont have FI but i thought this might be the best place the post this question. any help will be much appreciated!

would those injectors fit in like stock without shimming and stuff? i think i could get by a little longer with the 30# because i dont have near enough power to go 42# but if they fit i would definitly get them especially since they are cheaper than the flow tested 30's

what all do they adjust in the tune? would it best to install it with my tuner on site right next to me? how do you remove the old injectors and install the new ones without leaks etc?
*sorry for all the questions

Technically, all that needs changed in the tune is the injector flow rate table. PCM should adjust everything else.
Installing them is pretty easy, just make sure to use something like white lithium grease to lube the o-rings when your putting them in so you don't pinch or cut them.

are there any bolts to extract or is it just like pull them out and slide them in? os ot possible to drive a bit with the injector flow rates all messed up? i;d nearly be doubling the injectors compacity so would that double the amount of ful being poured in?

If I remember correctly, (its been a while since I did mine) There are 4 bolts that hold the injector rails on. unplug all the injectors, take out the blots and wiggle all the injector out of the holes on the intake (its kind of tuff, just keep working them) Then each injector will have a clip on it that holds it to the fuel rail, remover the clip and pull the injector out and replace with the new injector with some grease on the oring so it slides right in. Once all of them have been swapped, put them back into the intake. Be sure you don't get any dirt or anything in the hole. then bolt the rail back down and plug them in. Pretty easy really. But you NEED to have the tune fixed at the same time. It will be way over fueling with the bigger injector.
