I thought the reverse split cam would allow quicker spool at the expense of EGTs? I agree, do a 76 or bigger.

was looking at the Garrett GT35 series......seems like most of what I see are Turbonetics on here......how does Garrett compare?

GT35 is way too small for a single on a V8. That is more suited for a twin setup.

If you are looking at Turbonetics or others that list by the compressor inducer look for ~76mm. That will say it supports 1khp or so, but can spool quick and deliver 600 to the wheels with the right housings.

The good thing about using a turbo set up is that once you have a t4 exhaust flange you can use any t4 turbo. You won't have to tear the entire system apart to change turbos, maybe minor downpipe and/or compressor outlet changes at most.

this reminds me of how the guy with the fastest SSS said he picked his FI:
"...if I wanted to run 12's I would have got a radix..."

glad to hear we will see the most detail turbo build thread ever

That is MAX hp rating. Definitely too small for a single turbo V8. I don't even think you can get it in a T4 exhaust flange.

I'd post up some info on reading turbo maps but, don't have time right now.
