i have a 2001 silverado 1500 5.3 basic sts set up at 6psi do i need to get a bov and where can i get besides sts and were r they mounted?

 

Sorry, I don't know about your first two questions, but the bov mounts on the intake pipe after the turbo and before the throttle body.

I don't really think that you need a BOV. If your trans is automatic you should be fine without one at 6 psi. STS told me I should be fine to 12 psi. I have one because it came with my kit so I put it on and I still get some compressor surge when I lift abruptly after a WOT run.

 

ok then i guess at 6 psi its not needed so ill save the money for a tranny
