Just curious to what % meth is -0* washer fluid?

 

ill post the chart.. but i think its 8-12%?

 

dunnu know what i did with the chart.. but look on page 24 of this PDF..
i was a lil off.. 0* is ~23%

+20 F Washer Fluid - Contains approximately 7% methanol.

0 F Washer Fluid - Contains approximately 23% methanol.

-10 F Washer Fluid - Contains approximately 28% methanol.

-20 F Washer Fluid - Contains approximately 35% methanol.

-25 F Washer Fluid - Contains approximately 38% methanol.

-50 F Washer Fluid - Contains approximately 62% methanol.

 

Awesome thanks... So the methanol helps with octane, what does the water do help with IAT or EGTs?

 

water drops IATs better than Straight Methanol.. and Water is said to have an infinite octane..

Water does help with EGTs also.

Where do you find -50 wwf?

A lot of guys on here just run strait meth.

 

If I recall it has to be more then 50% meth to be flamable.

 

U can always add/mix HEET if you can't find -0 washer fluid.

I recommend finding a product and buy several gallons.
The summer mixes will have less meth and won't be available for the -0 zero stuff.
At least around here its that way.
