going lean is more dangerous than having knock. you have have knock the computer will retard the timing to get rid of it.

Going lean any way shape or form can be dangerous for the motor, I would not go into the upper RPM's until you get some more fueling. Or turn down the boost some until you get bigger injectors or meth.
