Default wastegate question

does the wastegate need to be somehow included in the vaccumme system or do i just put a spring in there and go? im getting a turbonetics evolution wastegate and it comes with vaccumme hose.

would the flanges that fit the deltagate fit the evolution?

also it doesnt tell me what PSI springs come with the wastegate can i order smaller springs. i need to start out @ 3 or 4psi.

The wastegate needs to read boost. The spring sets the amount of pressure it opens at, but the boost pressure lets it know when it gets there.

BTW mine seams to work better off of the manifold instead of the turbo housing. But, I'm not sure how the STS is setup.

gonna run mine off manifold. also i was told not to use the top flare fitting on teh wastegate because i would go boom. so i should always use the side flare fitting correct.also where can i find springs for lower psi?

The evolution comes with three springs. The weakest is the 5psi spring. Then you should have a 7psi spring, and a 9psi spring which will be the hardest.

If you want the lowest setting make sure you put in the weakest spring. This will let the wastegate open sooner. Either my springs were marked wrong or my directions were wrong, so double check. I'm pretty sure Parish had the same problem with his old setup.
