Seems to me then the best place to refrence for the WG would be AFTER the intercooler and BEFORE the TB, and probably AFTER the BOV as well that way when the BOV is open the refrence for the WG isnt seeing boost and will close.

I have my boost gauge / bov / wg all connected together to a line coming from the intake manifold. Ive been running it this way for close to 10,000 miles and had zero issues. Rick @ trick performance also stated that it would be perfectly fine to do this.

both off manifold. had problems building boost on top end w/ wastegate reference at the turbo. motor wasn't seeing same pressure as the turbo. wastegate manufacture and Kyle(KBracing) both told me to move it.

how does the nipple on the manifold come off? do you have to break the tip off? does it pull off or does it unscrew?

push it in, hold down the red ring, pull the nipple out.

Arent they going to technicaly see vaccum anyway? I mean, unless youre driving under boost everytime you get in the vehicle???

If you hook it to the cold piping before the TB or to the compressor exit it won't see vacuum but will see boost, I think that's what he's saying.

Only vacuum is behind the Throttle body.
So with the WG connected to the compressor outlet, it shouldnt see vacuum. Well maybe just a little while its lagging, or till it starts building boost.

I put a new diaphragm in my tial when I bought it, and am not too worried about the small amount of vaccum causing issues. The pressure it takes to open the diaphragm would be much more of an issue by that logic, at least for the tial design. I want my gate working off the pressure the engine is seeing, I dont give a **** whats going on at the turbo or cold pipes.

The only vaccum at the turbo should be between the filter and inlet
