Default wanting more boost

i want to get more boost out of my radix and im running it with a 10lb pulley which i dont know exact the inches on it, but if correct its a 3.00. And i want to go with a smaller pulley, but dont want to blow my motor. and suggestions on getting the most boost out of my truck.

what have you done to your motor so far to make it more boost efficient.
cam
heads
headers
filter system
tune
exhaust
fuel system
injectors
and so on.

as I have told other before, boost can start off at a base of 10 horses per pound of boost.
by changing things on the motor like injectors, fuel system, air filter, cam shaft, heads and most important the tune can take that 10 horse base per pound and up it making more power per pound of boost.

I know it is easy to up the pressure and add 2 to 4 more psi on boost by making the pulley smaller but what have you done to make the same boost pressure more powerful.

why dont you add more timing? I still dont see why everyone goes right for the boost. You are reaching the point of dimishing returns, get a custom dyno tune.

A $85 pulley is easier and cheaper than a custom tune. Most people don't work with a tuner. Besides, I did both. I ought to be the poster child....Now see kids, this is what not to do! 3 out of 4 pistons on the left bank gone in about .3 seconds with no indication of KR. It had to be water.

A custom tune will do wonders. Just from experience, if you get into knock retard, back the timing down 2-3 degrees at least for insurance. Not just 1 degree like I did. Unless you arn't concerned about blowing it, as I was not.

looks like the next step would be a good cam, stall, and a update on the tune.
