I agree with Atomic, throw a blower cam in there along with some headers and maybe a smaller pulley to make up the boost and see how you like that.

Worst case you can sell the cam and headers if you end up going turbo. Then at least you tried and arent left wondering if the cam and headers would get you to where you want to be.
The cam I really want run is the VHP trucker. Would that work for a turbo later if I decided it was'nt enough? Also pulley down would mean more heat and less effeciency right or our the guy's that are concerned with high IAT's more dedicated dragracers? I will go to the track but not all the time. I just want a nasty streetruck.

Slap a 3" pulley on that and enjoy 11lbs of boost. IATs will be an issue on long runs, but as long as your tune is good you shouldnt have any problems.

If you just want a nasty street truck then id keep the radix for the off idle torque. I had a whipple before my turbo and it was a bit more fun on the street than waiting for the turbo to spool up. I am glad i made the switch to turbo tho.

Trucker cam & a 3.0 pulley will give you a nasty street truck. The right torque converter also makes a world of difference. The higher IAT's don't really come into play on the street. Not many places to stay WOT for that length of time. At the track, just ice down the intercooler.

Rolling burnouts at 45-50 mph are alot of fun! Do that next to anybody on the street, they stop messing with you.

^ Listen to these guys, throw in the cam/headers and tune for it and see how you like it. If you want more, pulley down, retune and hold on!

I think you'll be happy with those mods, and have one mean street truck.

How much boost are you running now? Your looking at spending some coin up front if you want to switch to a turbo setup. If I were you I'd be lurking around the classifieds and pick up a set of LT's, cam, and big pulley like everyone else said. I think you could be looking at a 75hp increase at the wheels fairly easily with those mods, depending on how much boost your running now.

I'm just running the stock maggie 3.4 pulley so I think it's around 5-6 pds boost.

your a pulley away from a big power increase.pulley it down to get 9#'s and be on your way , no need to drop all that coin on a turbo set up yet ... and the right cam will help allot with the high end speeds. mine made a big difference.
