My inline Walbro does that too. I only hear this in very hot conditions also....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee wow is it loud. I guess that is why GM does in tank pumps. The return fuel keeps them cooler and the tank baffles any sound that may be made.

Does the heat expand the seals and the shaft play increases. Or something else wierd
