Default twin turbo vs single turbo

Fighting the turbo game.. Insight wanted from the more expierenced. Getting a turbo for 2000 gmc truck, single or twin? Most bang for my buck single turbo kit w/o intercooler and injectors,7500$ twin turbo kit with intercooler and injectors. Is twin the way to go or will i be paying the price for promblems later with twin setup? Stock motor daily driver, need insight from the more expierenced.

Just go with a single intercooled setup, naturally with any FI you will need injectors and fuel pump. Check out Tricks setups they have. Link to the right they are a sponsor.

I personally don't see any reason at all to go twins unless you're just looking for the "cool" factor. It will be a complete pain in the *** to mount a turbo on the driver's side, and you'll have twice the expense in turbos, BOV's, and wastegates.

kbracing96 is also a sponsor and sells hot parts kits.

I think the single is the best bang for the buck. UNLESS you are going after a bling factor or some really serious HP 1000+.
With twins you will have twice the parts and the potential for twice the problems. And as mentioned the drivers side is a really pain in the backside for routing.

WE offer a couple of different kits, from single hi or our low mount stuff. 3900.00 for the low mount with IC, and 4254.00 hi mount with ic add 700.00. Now we offer many upgrades larger turbos, larger gate, larger IC.

I would need to know your goals to recommend a complete set up. Feel free to drop a line if there is anything I can do for you.

Go with a single kit. There is no need for twins unless you are big into the bling, or just like spending an *** load of money

yep, twins are mostly about the bling but they sure do look nice on a v8.

i think all the way up to 1000rwhp a singe is still the best bang for the buck but above that twins start making sense.

Don't twins let you have less lag if you do them in parallel. The turbo's are smaller, but you do have half of the engines exhaust to drive them...so maybe not...

Way I understand it...
TWINS:
Pro's = Quicker spool time, bling factor, versatile
Cons = More expensive, more heat in engine bay, Twice the moving parts means twice the potential for problems, harder to K.I.S.S

SINGLE:
Pro's = higher high HP potential, cheaper, simpler
Cons = slower spool time, not as cool
