Unless you were to do both at once while you're in there

My cam is spec'd as a blower cam, and I ran it for a season between different blower setups and it ran great. As mentioned above, you don't want to pull the blower if you don't have to so do it before. They are heavy bastards.

I would shoot for a cam with a 10-12 degree exhaust bias like Cody mentioned above. Actually with your heads you could go more twards a 18 degree bias. Keep the LSA in the 114-116 range

Only reason why I like the shorter exhaust bias is for part throttle torque. Top end power even more exhaust bias would be beneficial but Im a pansy when it comes to cams.

The lower intake duration should keep bottom decent and you can always cut some advance into it to keep it responsive. If he is 2wd I would go even bigger since with the blower he will have more low end that he is going to use unless he has slicks. I dont think I see below 4800rpm or so once I shift out of first. His 6spd trans is also going to keep him in the upper RPM also.

Yep the lower intake duration will help a lot but he is 4wd so he can make use of some viscious tq

IMO a positive displacement blower is useless in a 2wd truck unless its on the track. Rolling burnouts look cool but are annoying when you really want to play.

My biggest deal with bigger cams is I like to be able to pass and tow well locked up in OD without having to unlock or downshift. With a blower he will be able to lean into it and build a bit of boost to get some more power though.

Million ways to skin a cat, theyre just all much more fun blown

Very true, there are many ways to skin a cat. All comes down to what he is looking for.
This is why I love my AWD. It will spin all 4 but I have to try.

I'm speaking with Texas Speed right now about their LS3-B Blower cam, but I can't get them to release the specs on it...of course they are telling me that it would be my best choice, and id like to try it, but kinda sketchy not knowing the specs...and I am 4wd, and I'm dropping down to the 4:10 gears as well...because me likey the torque!!!

If you're going with a TVS I would personally hold off on the gears; there are a few guys on here who went FI then regeared higher because they had so much low-end torque it was ridiculous. Lol.

Thanx for the tip...i was actually thinking it would get me moving a little faster since it is a 4wd, but I plan to hold off on that til the blower is on...that would save me about 1500$ if the 3.73's are enough!! Guess I'll need to focus on tranny upgrades then...any tips to beef it up a little, or is it all in the torque management?

Maybe it's just me but if a company won't tell me the cam specs then I am not buying it. I would get Patrick G to spec one for you.
