I'd most definitely overdrive it with a jackshaft so you've got more options for final gearing and go with the biggest cooler you can shoehorn under it... I don't see why it wouldn't be able to fill up an 8.1 with the right combo of pulleys and an 8 rib setup at minimum, I'd say 10 rib ideally...

TVS 1.9 makes 9 psi on 6.2L in the Caddy LSA
TVS 2.3 makes 10.5psi on the 6.2l LS9 ZR1 Vette engine

Why not do a turbo set up? I am sure that big *** engine could spin one turbo with ease and it seems like it would be easier to set up than what you have planned IMHO.

With what pulley arrangement? Its doing 14+psi on some 7.0L builds i have seen around. I would like to get 8-10psi depending on temperature.

Step UP to a turbo? I'm expecting the TVS2300 to be very competitive at least with the turbo I took off.

I don't think you'll have any trouble at all running 8-10 psi. Feedback I've gotten from a couple people running these setups already is that it's going to be harder to keep boost levels down than up.

Thing is right now i never see boost at all until i am WOT. Sure would be nice to see it mid throttle or so.

Sounds like something is wrong with your setup then. Shouldn't you be seeing full TQ right off idle with a Whipple?

That doesn't sound right. Does Whipple run some kind of bypass valve? Is it possible that yours is sticking open?

I think they mean how quickly you can get to boost from idle. I can be at full boost in a half second or less when I punch it off the line.

Yes, but its not really adjustable. It works off of engine vacuum and it takes a lot of throttle for my truck to get to atmosheric pressure. It idles at 28in which seems like a lot to me but its the way its always been. Do the TVS blowers actually get into boost at part throttle conditions?

Hell I can get into boost at 35% throttle.
