Default TVS 1900 on a 408 enough cfm?

As the title says do you guys think a tvs 1900 can be setup properly to make good power on a 408 or should I just stick with a 6.0 or 6.2? I want to run my heads and charger so I don't have to break the bank to get her going again but I don't want to do it twice either. Any expirenced input is appreciated guys.

You are going to have to spin the living snot outta the 1900 on that CI thus making it not efficient. However what are your intentions besides a drift truck for you and your son?

I'd follow in GM's path in that the ZL1 and CTSV at 6.2 w/1900 can pack a pretty stout punch even with moderate changes. With 400+ci I would not consider anything below a JS 2300 (jack-shaft drive).

Agree with both of the above however I recall there was a 408 with one on this site early on that put out 700 I think. Torque curve was nuts. I have no clue how to search that but there was a dyno sheet posted.

I'm thinking of saying **** it and going with the 2650. It's a daily driver though, so I need to keep it emissions freindly. I'm hoping I can buy a kit with a carb sticker like I did with the 1900 and just build off a Mangnuson tune. If not I'll go with whatever I don't have to worry about getting thru state inspection.

Just my worthless opinion lol but I've been hanging out on another site that is pro blower 6.2. Lots of 2650 6.2 builds doing 800 even 850 and more wheel on DI. 725 on sbe with fuel. LS's would do more on E. I would cough it up my friend. I'm thinking for a DD a 2650 would be the closest thing to heaven.

I don't understand the conflicting statements, you want to keep it emissions friendly but you don't have to go through a state inspection...
If you mean that you don't want to smell the exhaust, it will be fine if you keep the cats.

I just reread it now that my coffee has worn off (comma) and I see that I completely misunderstood (period)
