turbo upgrade recomendations
#12
Honestly I would not upgrade my turbo with my current setup. the turbo is not the "weakest" point. All of the other things you listed are. If I had everything done and wondered if my turbo was holding me back I would talk to a pro and the people that already did what I am working on doing before making any purchase.
For me personally, I think I'm going to trade in my ecsb 5.3 on a newer (6L80E) CC 6.2 and then toss a 76mm on it. If I cant find a 6.2 then ill settle with the 5.3 again. I'm not looking to break any records but a reliable 500 wheel in a truck.

I feel the same way. I'm not looking for a track build but I would like to have a very stout street truck. I know that eventually everything I listed is getting done. But I guess I'm just thinking that doing the easier option first would be, well... Easier lol

None of the BW S400's will bolt in as all the T4's have a 4" vband and sit 1/2" higher on the pedestal. So you will need a new down pipe with any of those. Any of the PTE will bolt in, but your WG, if it ties into the down pipe will have a tough time lining up as the .68 a/r housing has a 1/4 shorter Vband discharge. As for what will make the power you want, all of them will.
