I know that the a/r I have is going to limit me up top and that's why I was thinking of doing the turbo first. my thought was why build all this new power if I cant use it due to the turbo choking it?

but are you saying that with the cam it wont feel like it is choking as bad up top?

Aren't the standard BW S4xx turbos all T6? Or are you trying to get a special T4 version? Might be cheaper to have the manifold flange changed to T6 and buy the more common and cheaper T6 S476. But then again, I do not know the price of a T4 S476.
I agree that you might as well have a whole new DP built since you have to change what you have to match the new turbo and diesel muffler .

For another 199 bucks you can get certain ones in a t4 which after down time and labor/parts is probably a wash in the end.

And yes I am having one bulit reguardless of how it goes, I just may wait untill the turbo is on my kitchen table before getting my fabricator to start striking the arcs

I have to disagree with this. If you have a 3.5in outlet on the turbo I think your dp and exhaust should be the same. especially if your already having someone make an adapter to reduce the 3.5 to 3. Have a new dp made because 3.5 can fit, do it right the first time. only thing I would say it is ok to reduce exhaust is if you have a cut out and after it you want to run a smaller dia exhaust and muffler. upgrading to a bigger/better turbo just to "choke" it 3 inches away from the housing is not something I would personally do
I didn't say it would be the best setup, just that he wouldn't "need" a new dp. The exducer is 73mm on the s366, which technically comes in just under 3". Splitting hairs and I agree on the 3.5" dp, but just sayin.

I hear what your saying but I have the option to get a dp made in whatever size I need so no need to cut corners. I'm debating on maybe getting a 3.5 in vband and then enlarge it after the turbo to 4 inches just incase I go with something larger later on it would be simple to just replace the vband and that section of pipe. But I still have to decide on a route.

I've been pricing out cam goodies and all the top end stuff and dod delete and it's looking a little out of my price range at the moment. Anyone care to let me in on what price an isky triple 12 cam goes for? I can't seem to find it online anywhere and I'd like to compare

Jarret (stock48) told me he ran a 3.5" exhaust setup and never felt the need for 4", his truck ran 9's. I got my cam through him for $379, along with the isky 165a springs for $150.

Thanks for the reply. It's looking more and more like a 3.5in dp and a pte turbo when/if the time comes. And that cam is priced right along with others I have looked at so that's good to know.

Right now the dod delete kit is looking like the most expensive part of a cam upgrade Unfortunately

Found a local guy with a freshly rebuilt 76mm that he used on a turbo truck he used to own. Installed that today.

As it turns out I looked and the t70 I have is actually a .96 a/r but turns out the culprit was my wastegate. So, I also installed a new tial 38mm gate and an 8 psi spring. Waiting to get the truck retuned on Thursday.

Did you keep the mp70 or install the precision 76?
