From the questions your asking I would recommend you do some reading for a few weeks before you jump into this turbo thing, if you don't understand the system you can tear **** up real quick.

There's not much to loose on a $400 motor

Thanks. And that one is running to your BOV right? Mine has 2 ports not sure if both go to vacuum. My cold piping also has one of those small ports for a hose not sure what goes there either.
