44# will be enough for about 6-8psi on a stock 5.3.
Walbro 255 should be enought for 10-12psi.

seems like u need to do some more research on the site before putting a turbo on your truck.

read build threads, like mine, look at trick ricks site for the step by step pics.

no hurry is no worry. right now the best advice i can give u is save your money and start reading.

I also found trick to be great to work with and i bought his stage 2 kit.

I forgot to reply to your text last night, i was working on my Tahoe and i didnt get home till 2am..

but lets start here.

Do you know how a wastegate works, and what it does?
Same with a BOV.
How the turbo works?

Learning those things makes a huge difference.

Turbo works by exhaust gas flowing to the Turbine to spin the compressor wheel.
Your wastegate is whats goin to regulate the Flow of exhaust to the Turbine. Less flow means turbo doesnt spin as fast means less boost. Wastegate needs a vacuum/boost reference so it helps open the valve to regulate the boost. Vacuum is acutally goin to help it stay closed also.

On the BOV.. imagine at 6psi boost and your up around 5000rpms. Thats alot of air flow goin thru the cold pipes and into the intake.
Slam the throttle body shut and where does the air go? Back thru the turbo compressor. BOV lets all that air excape fast.
The BOV is hooked up to the intake manifold. When you get it boost, the pressure pushes down on the BOV diaphram. When you let off fast and the intake pulls vacuum, the diaphram gets pulled up and the pressure from the cold pipes will push the valve open.

Vola.. hope that makes sense
