Looses the stealth factor I love about my truck. I went with this so I could uncap it when I wanted to play.

And if it is a STS, and you do kill the cats, You will need something small (if you want to keep your sapre tire), I have a 12inch glass pack after the axle, still a little loud, but even the wife can handle it.

What do you guys think would be the quietest muffler to use for a catless front mount kit where room is not an issue? What do you think the stock muffler would sound like?
P.S. Unlike most peeps in here, I want my truck to be as quiet as possible

I really liked my Magnaflow after the STS. I tried a 1chamber Flowmaster and didnt like it as much.
Funny thing is the turbo seemed to spool faster at part throttle with the muffler on vs off. I have a 3-bolt flange that allowed me to quickly change mufflers or remove it.

I dont sorry man.
I can say that its easy to visualize though lol. I simply took the STS exit pipe, cut it down a tad and added a 3-bolt flange. I then used my aprox. 18"-20" Magnaflow muffler and put a flange on one end and a turn down on the other. Then welded a hanger so that it hung in the stock location and presto! A clean, easy to remove and hidden muffler. I never really felt much of a top end difference with the muffler on vs. off but I took it off at the track anyway for weight and because it was louder lol.
If you like having tips you can do sort of like what i did but push the muffler farther back or use a smaller one, then make a Y-pipe after the muffler to create 2 exit locations and wind one side to the opposite side of the truck and fab up a simple hanger to keep things flexible but controled (using a muffler with dual outs might be easier). You might lose top end power that way, not sure but since it is easy to disconnect from the 3-bolt flange you dont have to worry when you want to race it. Simply unbolt it and tie the side nearest the flange against the frame or something. Sounds vague but there are so many things we can do with the room under our trucks that i think you are only limited to imagination
