I hate to bring reality into this thread, but your truck does have a stock 4l60e, correct?

I have many resources to build a turbo setup.
Fuggin trans worries keep holding me back.

The only reason y I said piece it together is cuz it doesnt seem like a big problem to me. Get a turbo.. Either buy the piping and manifold or just buy the manifold and build the piping (simple enough) then put it all together. Run some oil lines, get a new fuel pump and bigger injectors maybe, and its done. 5-8 PSI turbo is complete?
If only turbos where that easy and cheap.... Your forgetting ALOT of stuff. Wideband, boost controller, bov, wastegate, intercooler, tuning, and TRANS. You might want to do some more research, TURBO AND CHEAP DONT GO TOGETHER!

He is very right, i've tried it twice now, it usually ends up costing about 2 to 3 times what you figure!!!!

u guys arent seeing it how I am. A whole kit from STS or Trick is upwards of 4500. I can buy a turbo, fuel pump, injectors, then make some piping, maybe buy and intercooler and get some rubber hose for oil and be relatively close to or under a grand. I obviously know my trans will probably let go. KBracing96 had a relatively stock trans, and his held up for quite awhile. This is just an idea Im toying with. I may just do my heads and risk the truck being down, Im not sure yet. I've got a friend who pretty much fabricated all his **** for his Eclipse aside from buying an intercooler, turbo, fuel pump, injectors and some tuning/scan handheld thing. He spend just about a grand

dude, even though they are both turbo setups, your truck and an eclipse is waaaay different.

why do you think your truck will blow if you add heads? just makes it more efficient. for more power under a grand id look at n2o. or maybe some more supporting mods for your current setup, gears maybe, stall?

That thing runs great! I kinda felt sorry for the poor little stock old school 350 pushing 15PSI to it!

lmao under a 1000 dollars for a boosted truck hahahaha iam gonna die well lets see for my truck hmmmmm i spent about a 1000 bucks in just things needed before turbo and thats not including trans.(already have a built unit) just alone a tune is 500 so if you can find a turbo that isnt made out of pots and pans for 500 bucks then you just need hmmmm everything else!!!!
